Fashion Friday: Fall Trends

Favorite Sisters' Boutique discusses Fall fashion trends!
This fall it's all about texture!

Alex Robertson from Favorite Sisters' Boutique in Shreveport discusses fall fashion trends, and says this season is all about mixing your textures.

Leslie Draffin's outfit is the perfect example because she's wearing a leather A-line skirt with peek-a-boo cutouts and a jade green sheer top with circle detailing and tons of texture! The skirt feels like butter, has a bit of a stretch and is high waisted making it flattering for many different figures.

Another huge trend this season is oxblood! The color looks a lot like... you guessed it... blood, but its pretty not "creepy!" Patterns are a great way to mix this color into your wardrobe, espeically if you aren't too sure about a full "oxblood ensemble." Expect to see this fall hue in makeup as well, think lip color and nail polish.

If you're headed to work, texture like what's seen in this Coco Chanel inspired blazer is perfect! And since its has hints of metallic, its dressy enough for date night. All the other colors in this pattern mean you probably have something in your closet right now that will go perfectly with this fabulous fall find!

Finally, when you're wondering what to wear this fall look outside for inspiration. Fall colors mirror seasonal hues. Orange, jade, and crimson are just a few of the leaf-like trends! Another big one, neutrals!! They are easy to pair with items you see in boutiques like Favorite Sisters Boutique, make being trendy easy whether you're at work or out in town and will transition well no matter the weather.

Favorite Sisters' Boutique is located at 5747 Youree Drive in Shreveport, in the Rite Aid shopping center off Southfield. Bonus: their clothes are affordable too... which is ALWAYS in fashion!
