Fire crews are battling an apartment fire.
It's taking place on the 4300 block of Lakeshore.
Shreveport Fire Officials say the call came in at 8:32am.
Assistant Fire Chief, Fred Sanders, tells NBC 6 News that the fire started on an apartment's balcony on the third floor.
Around two dozen fire units are on scene.
NBC News 6 spoke with Shreveport Fire officials who say it's a two alarm fire.
They add there are no injuries at this time.
At least two families are displaced.
Witnesses say that there is heavy smoke coming from the top floor of the building.
