A Bossier Parish couple is behind bars for allegedly engaging in sexual acts with a young dance student.

On Aug. 23 Gregg Hornbeak, 52, and his wife, Melonie Hornbeak, 50, of Benton, were arrested and charged with six counts of molestation of a juvenile.

Investigators say a female victim recently came forward and told them about the incidents that took place years earlier when she was as young as 10 years old.   She is now 28.

The victim said she was molested on multiple occasions by the Hornbeak’s when she was between 10 and 17 years of age.

Gregg and Missy Hornbeak both admitted to authorities that they had sexual encounters at least six times with the girl at their home when she was a teenager.

The Hornbeak’s owned The Dance Shop in Shreveport before moving the studio to Bossier in 2002 and changing the name to Danceworx but the studio shut down in 2007.

During a search of the couple’s house, detectives recovered a bag of suspected marijuana, a bag of suspected marijuana roaches, rolling papers, smoking devices and a pistol.

The Hornbeak’s were booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and have also been charged with possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Each of their bonds has been set at more than $600,000.
