Grambling University could lose access to federal financial aid programs after the school failed to return almost $15,000 that went to students who dropped out of school.

According to a report by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor released Monday, the school failed to note the withdrawal date of 43 out of 49 randomly-chosen students who dropped out between July2012 and June 2012.

The school failed to return to the federal government funds for eight of those students - totaling $14, 992 - within the allotted 45 days.

GSU President Frank Pogue indicated the school has put a plan in place to prevent the problem from happening again.
