Students at one local middle school read so much, it's scary.
That's why they're holding the fourth annual parade of pumpkins.
Back by popular demand, Haughton Middle School students compete to see who can make the cutest, scariest, and most creative pumpkins.
The parade is held in conjunction with the school's book fair.
"This is an extension on some projects that they're working on in their English and literature class. A lot of the students have chosen characters from books that they've already read in the first 9 weeks," says Librarian Mary Hooker.
There are 135 entries for the decorating contest.
Winners for this year's pumpkin parade will be picked tomorrow.
