An early morning fire rips through a popular eatery in the Town of Arcadia.

The blaze broke out shortly before 5 a.m. Monday at the "Someplace Else" restaurant inside the Junction Building on North Railroad.

The Homer and Ruston Fire Departments were called into to help Arcadia firefighters battle the flames.

Jimmy Hamilton with the Arcadia Police Dept. told NBC 6 that a grease fire ignited the blaze.

Hamilton said the owner of the restaurant was cooking sausage on the stove when the pan caught fire.  When she tried to put the pan in the sink she burned herself and dropped the pan on the floor starting the fire.

Hamilton said the building is a total loss. There were no injuries but the owner of the restaurant fainted and was treated at the scene.

The Junction Building has been around since Bonnie and Clyde were captured in 1934.
