Shreveport and Bossier City Police Departments and the Caddo, Bossier and Webster Parish Sheriffs Offices are going the extra mile to show their appreciation for a Minden couple.
Shreveport and Bossier City Police Departments and the Caddo, Bossier and Webster Parish Sheriffs Offices are going the extra mile to show their appreciation for a Minden couple.

A series of blood drives kicked off today in honor of Jean and Harmon Drew.

The Drews have been teaching Louisiana law enforcement officers throughout Louisiana for more than 30 years, and annually publish "True Blue Drew Book," a praised resource for Louisiana law enforcement officers.

In 2008, Jean Drew unexpectedly became ill requiring emergency abdominal surgery that saved her life.  As a result of her illness and the surgery, Jean began suffering from severe and debilitating anemia.
