Christmas has come early for 58 lucky dancers in the area.
They were chosen to perform in the Moscow Ballet's great Russian nutcracker.
On Saturday, those between ages seven and 18 tried out for a spot to be on stage.
Rehearsals started Sunday and will continue each weekend through November.
Dance Director Christy Holden said it's a great opportunity for these growing dancers.
"They get to see what it's like to be in a live performance with professional people, see what
happens back stage,” said Holden. “It's a pretty amazing experience for young people."
The show will be Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. Tickets will go on sale in September.
