Lock down at LA Technical College ends, stand off at Royal Inn over

Shreveport SWAT Team members are currently surrounding the the Royal Inn at 1906 North Market Street, according to NBC 6 News crews at the scene.
A stand off at the Royal Inn on North Market Street has ended according to Shreveport Police.

The stand off ended around 11:40 a.m. when two suspects holed up in Room 248 surrendered to SWAT team members.

Corporal Marcus Hines tells NBC 6 News the suspects surrendered voluntarily.

Hines says the lock down at Louisiana Technical College-Shreveport-Bossier Campus, which sits next door to the Royal Inn, has been lifted.

SWAT Team members surrounded the inn, located at 1906 North Market Street, around 10:20 a.m., after learning the suspects, a black male and a white female, who are believed to involved in two early morning crimes, were inside the inn. 

Authorities tell NBC 6 News the SWAT team's arrival at the Royal Inn was tied to an armed robbery at the Days Inn on Monkhouse Dr. and a shooting along Olive St.
