The top 20 submissions to the Louisiana Film Prize will be screened all weekend long starting Friday afternoon.  These are trailers of a few of the short films you can catch with a ticket to the film fest.  All of the films were shot in the Northwest Louisiana area.
We spoke with the director of "Lineman" about why this competition caught his attention.
"Lineman is a story of people who work on power lines.  We were fortunate enough to get access to with local linemen who work in Minden/Sibley area," said Benjamin Weiss, director of “Lineman”.
This is only the 2nd year for the Louisiana Film Prize, but it offers the largest cash prize for the winning short film with $50,000.
