Loved ones remember young woman killed in crash

Casey Colley was on her way home when a car crossed the median and hit her head-on.
Family and friends gather remember a Shreveport woman killed in a car wreck Wednesday night on 31-32.

Casey Colley was on her way home when a car crossed the median and hit her head-on.

Loved ones try to be strong after Casey Colley was taken too soon.  Boyfriend Josh Daugherty says she changed his life and many others.

“She cared so much for everybody in the world. She would see somebody homeless on the side of the road and she would stop at a store and buy them chips and a Coke," Daugherty shared.

Just 10 days ago, friends and family celebrated Casey's birthday with her.  They say she lived a lot in her  28 years.

"Every moment in life she never took for granted.  She lived it to 100% everyday," said childhood friend D.J. Frasier.

Friends say Casey loved fashion, family, Jewish tradition and traveling.

"She went everywhere. She never met a stranger. She ventured out and saw the rest of the world and I don't think she regrets anything," said Danielle Ain, Casey’s cousin.

"She's done amazing things.  She traveled to her land, her heritage from overseas and swam in the Dead Sea. She just had amazing stories of going to London and walking the Beatles Walk,” recalled Frasier.

Now they will honor her legacy, by living life as she did, with a positive outlook.

"Put a smile on your face and get through it,” said Ain. “Because that's what she would do."

Funeral services for Casey take place Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home Marshall Street Chapel.
