A guilty plea has been handed down for a Shreveport man involved in a shooting back in 2011.
On Tuesday Curtis Cannon, Jr., was found guilty of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder following a bench trial in Desoto Parish.
Prosecutors presented evidence proving that in May 2011 Cannon used a 9mm Glock to shoot a man numerous times in the stomach after a dispute at a trail ride.
Cannon fled the scene after the shooting but was arrested a short time later. Cannon was also charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Cannon's sentencing is set for Oct. 9th. He faces up to 70 years in prison for both charges.
