Mayor Glover hosts Master Plan meeting

City officials came together to act on a vision.
City officials came together to act on a vision, one of Shreveport's future.

On Saturday morning, Mayor Cedric Glover held a meeting on city-related issues.

One of the key topics was the Shreveport/Caddo 2030 Master Plan.

It's a document outlining the city's future expectations.

During the meeting, neighborhood leaders focused on how they can act on those expectations.

They looked at an area's crime rate, zoning and development.

"We're going to propose a council of neighborhoods that would basically be an organization where our Neighborhood Association could come together and talk about some of the issues that are coming up," said Master Plan Administrator Dara Sanders.
