Pastor arrested by FBI Crimes Against Children Task Force

A local pastor out of jail on bond pending a trial on juvenile molestation charges in state district court today was arrested at his Mooretown home by federal agents.

A local pastor out of jail on bond pending a trial on juvenile molestation charges in state district court today was arrested at his Mooretown home by federal agents.

The Rev. Andrea Lewis, pastor of Act on Faith Church Ministries, was arrested early this morning by the Crimes Against Children Task Force, according to an FBI spokesman. Charges
were not disclosed due to a sealed indictment, but Lewis is scheduled for a bond hearing in federal court in Shreveport at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Lewis was booked into Caddo Correction Center at 1:31 p.m. today, where he is being held as a federal prisoner.

Lewis was arrested by Shreveport police August 13, 2012 on three counts of molestation of a juvenile, was released two days later after posting a $100,000 property bond. On August 23, Lewis was arrested again on two additional juvenile molestation charges. In September, bond set at $50,000 per charge.

Lewis is on the February 3, 2014 docket in Caddo District Court for a pre-trial hearing on the five juvenile molestation charges.
