Police nab two suspects in Cherokee Park shooting

Two people are behind bars in connection with a shooting that wounded a Shreveport teenager.
Two people are behind bars in connection with a shooting that wounded a Shreveport teenager.

Jeremy Madison, 25, and Jay'veon Arthur, 17, were booked into the Shreveport City Jail after investigators linked them to the crime.

Madison faces attempted first degree murder charges.  Arthur has been charged with illegal use of a weapon.

Madison and Arthur are accused of shooting a 16-year-old male in the upper body back on Sept. 3 at Mamie Hicks Park on Mayfair Dr.

The teen was taken to an area hospital and continues to recover from his injuries.
