Bossier Crime Stoppers is offering a reward to anyone who can help track down a suspect who is going around stealing people’s wallets.

The theft happened Monday at the “A Yellow Ribbon” store in the 2800 block of Douglas Dr.

Investigators with the Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force believe the suspect took the wallet out of the victim’s purse while at least one accomplice distracted the victim.

The victim told detectives she later received a call from someone claiming to be with her bank stating her account information had been stolen.

The caller went on to ask for the victim’s debit card PIN number in order help clear up the matter.  As a result the victim gave the PIN which the suspect used to withdraw $300 from the victim’s bank account.

Authorities believe the suspect is responsible for similar incidents in the area over the past several weeks.

A photo of the suspect was captured by an ATM’s camera.  Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100 or submit a tip online at www.bossiercrimestoppers.org.
