At approximately 5:40 p.m. on January 3, 2013, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Brookshires supermarket in the 3600 block of Pines Road.

Upon arrival there, investigators learned that a lone suspect, who was armed with what appeared to be a handgun, entered the business, confronted an employee at the service desk and demanded money.

The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene of the crime driving a dark blue or black colored four door Dodge Charger with a rear spoiler and chrome wheels.

The suspect was described as a medium build, black male approximately weighing 175 to 185 pounds, standing five feet nine to six feet tall, wearing a dark colored jacket, baseball cap, with a mustache.

No one was injured during the robbery.  Police are hopeful video surveillance footage from the business will aid in the identification and apprehension of the suspect.
