A Shreveport woman was arrested on Sunday night in Bossier City after becoming belligerent with police. The arrest came following an incident where she allegedly swam nude in the fountain of the Horseshoe Casino Hotel.

According to information provided by Bossier City Police, Courtney Cox, 29, of Shreveport, was arrested for disturbing the peace/ public drunkenness and then booked into the Bossier City Jail.

Police were called to the casino by Horseshoe security personnel after they came across Cox allegedly skinny-dipping in the casino's fountain.

By the time police arrived, security guards had gotten Cox out of the water and she had put back on her clothing.

Officers offered Cox an opportunity to have a sober friend come to the casino and drive her home, but she then became belligerent. Police say she began yelling and swearing at casino employees and hotel guests.

Bossier Police say Cox was heavily intoxicated and offered her numerous chances to cease her behavior. When she refused, she was arrested.

Cox is currently out on bond and awaits her initial court appearance in Bossier City Court.
