Protestors speak out against attacking Syria

Local protestors do not want the United States to intervene in Syria's Civil War

As Congress gets briefed on the alleged use of chemical weapons by the Bashar al-Assad
regime in Syria, local protestors took to the streets.

They're speaking out against the United States getting involved in the Civil War in Syria.

About 20 people showed up for Saturday's protest at the corner of Youree and E. 70th.

Many of them say they're against the United States intervening in Syria with any type of military strike. They want the Syrians to fight their own war.

According to a recent Gallup Poll, 36 percent of Americans favor the US taking military action in Syria to reduce its ability to use chemical weapons; 51 percent oppose it; another 13 percent are unsure.
