The Shreveport-Bossier community remembers local restaurant owner Orlando Chapman. He was the owner of Brothers Seafood, and died after falling out of his boat near Melvin's Marina on Tuesday.
"Orlando and I grew up together. He was my brother and my family. He'll truly be missed because he was a great person and always there to help you if you needed it," DJ Jabber Jaws said.
Aside from good food and friendliness, Chef Orlando was someone who cared about his community.
"We often had an opportunity to talk not only about his business, but how other businesses in the city could be successful especially minority and female owned businesses," Shreveport city councilman Sam Jenkins said.
This Friday from 6pm-8pm will be Family Hour at Praise Temple Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 1pm on Saturday, the location has not been decided.
