Authorities obtained an arrest warrant for a local man accused of attempting to rob another man in north Shreveport on last month.
At approximately 2:45 p.m. on November 9, 2013, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported attempted robbery of an individual in the 1300 block of North Market Street. Upon arrival, patrolmen contacted an adult male victim who told them a suspect known to him accosted him and forcefully attempted to remove money and valuables from his person after the victim advised the suspect he did not have any money on him. The suspect, after being observed by a witness to the attempted robbery, fled the scene and has not been located.
Based on information gathered during their ongoing investigation, detectives were able to develop 28 year old Xavion Bryant as a suspect and have since procured an arrest warrant charging Bryant, of the 1900 block of North Hearne Avenue in Shreveport, with one count of Attempted Simple Robbery. His bond has been set at $200,000.
