Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks sign former player Hollis Giles

Shreveport-Bossier City, LA- The ABA Mavs have signed Houston, Texas native Hollis Giles. The 6’3” guard was a part of the 2010-11 ABA National Championship roster. Giles began his college career playing for Baytown Lee College who participates in one of the top junior college leagues in the country the Region XIV Athletic Conference.

Shreveport-Bossier City, LA- The ABA Mavs have signed Houston, Texas native Hollis Giles. The 6’3” guard was a part of the 2010-11 ABA National Championship roster. Giles began his college career playing for Baytown Lee College who participates in one of the top junior college leagues in the country the Region XIV Athletic Conference.

Giles then went to NAIA powerhouse Georgetown College in Kentucky where he received All Conference First-Team and NAIA All-American Second-Team honors.  He spent last year as an assistant coach at his Alma Mater helping them win the NAIA National Championship.

“Hollis helped us win a national championship in 2011 and as a winner and it seems to follow him wherever he goes,” says SB Mavs Head Coach and Team President Steve Tucker, “We are very excited to have a former Mav returning home.”
