Shreveport man shot and killed early Sunday morning

Shreveport Police are looking for the gunman who shot and killed a man riding his bike early Sunday morning.
A Shreveport man is dead, after being shot while riding his bike. The shooting happened Sunday morning around 1 a.m. at the corner of Thornhill and E. 75th.

When police arrived to the scene, they saw a man lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the upper body. They have identified him as 32-year-old Sidney Thomas. Police tell us the man had physical and mental disabilities.

Officers believe Thomas was riding his bike along E. 75th when he was shot. About 20 minutes before the shooting, police say neighbors reported hearing gunshots.

Police have no suspects at this time, and there's no word on what could have prompted the shooting.
