Stadium preps almost complete for Advocare V100 Bowl

The finishing touches at Independence Stadium are almost complete, as the countdown to the Advocare V100 Bowl winds down.
The finishing touches at Independence Stadium are almost complete, as the countdown to the Advocare V100 Bowl winds down.
Stadium director, Ronnie Hammond, says months and months of hard work is coming together in time for Tuesday’s game.  Contractors were in the air hanging huge banners on the outside, and the new Advocare logo was painted on the center of the field.
Hammond says the city works as a team to make sure the stadium makes a great impression on visitors.
"Everybody from water and sewage makes sure drains are flowing free - water supplied here.  Guys from traffic and engineering come out and stripe the parking lots and block streets off," said Hammond.
He adds Shreveport police, fire and EMS workers also step-up for the game.  They provide security and emergency services.
