A local man is recovering from a gunshot wound following a home invasion robbery that occurred late last night in northeast Shreveport.
Late Sunday night, Shreveport patrol officers responded to a reported home invasion and found 46-year-old Lonnie Hamilton suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the shoulder. He was subsequently transported to University Health Center by the Shreveport Fire Department with what has been described as a non-life-threatening injury.
Detectives immediately responded and, upon further investigation, believe the victim was shot by a male suspect during some sort of robbery attempt.
Investigators have received conflicting statements from persons interviewed in connection with this shooting and are working at this hour to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the crime.
