SUSLA encourages smokers to kick the habit

Students at Southern University at Shreveport are hoping to save lives by keeping their campus tobacco-free.
Students at Southern University at Shreveport are hoping to save lives by keeping their campus tobacco-free.

Once again SUSLA is participating in the American Cancer Society Great American Smokeout.

The campaign raises awareness of the diseases and deaths caused by smoking.

This year's event will take place between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21 at the SUSLA Johnny Vance Student Activity Center.
