On Friday Noel Smith, 46, of Prairieville was taken into custody by Bossier City Police.

Tamara Amo, 46, of Spokane, Washington was arrested by authorities in Lafayette.

The incident happened just before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday after Smith and Amo asked two men for a ride while they were getting gas at the Circle K on Barksdale Blvd. at Hamilton Rd.  Smith and Amo got in the car once the men agreed to give them a ride.

A short time later Amo allegedly pulled out a handgun and robbed the victims of their car, a 2012 Hyundai Elantra, along with an undisclosed amount of cash and two cell phones. Amo and Smith then drove off in the stolen car.

Smith was later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.  He has been charged with armed robbery.

Amo, who has also been charged with armed robbery, is awaiting extradition to Bossier.
