The Swan Lake Road widening project is costing more than expected.
Crews are expanding the road to five lanes between I-220 and I-20.
They expect to complete the project by January 2014.
They finished phase one in the summer, but went over budget by $300,000.
"The contractor has done a tremendous job,” said Mark Natale, spokesperson for Bossier
City. “They've been working six days per week in many cases on this. Just a 'bang bang" effort on their part. Doing everything they can to get the project done in an expeditious fashion."
The Bossier City Council is reviewing this change order Monday.
It's expected to vote approve the extra funding on Nov. 5.
