Terroristic threats land Webster Parish teen in jail

A 17 year old is behind bars, accused of making terroristic threats at Lakeside High School.
A 17 year old is behind bars, accused of making terroristic threats at Lakeside High School.

According to Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton, a note was found on the wall inside the school indicating that everyone was going to die come Monday.

Friday afternoon a student reported the note to school officials who contacted the sheriff's department.

Investigators arrested Jeremy Smith as a suspect after identifying him in a surveillance video.

Sexton says Smith admitted to writing the note and handwriting samples given by Smith matched what was written on the wall.

Smith is currently in Bayou Dorcheat Corrrectional Center charged with making terrorizing threats.  His bond has been set at $15,000.

Smith is also charged with pornography after investigators found what appeared to be child pornography on his cell phone.
