On Friday, Texas A&M University, Texarkana announced their partnership with PEP.

PEP is known as the Partner Engage Prepare Project.

The University will work with local school districts to help students work towards college.

Texarkana Independent School District, Texarkana Arkansas School District, Liberty Eylau Independent School District and Pleasant Grove Independent School District are all involved.

The program will offer mentoring and college readiness programs.

They hope it'll make an easy transition into college.

The project identifies sophomores, juniors and seniors to encourage them through an engagement and college preparation program to insure a successful transition to an institution of higher education.

The PEP Program is based on the Kids at Hope as a principle that all children are capable of success.

The partnership will increase the number of college-bound students.
