Texas High hosts Bully & Suicide Workshop

It's a growing problem everywhere, but a school in Texarkana is doing what they can to help stop it.
It's a growing problem everywhere, and one school in Texarkana is doing what they can to help stop it.

For the second time, Texas High is hosting a Teen Bullying and Suicide Workshop.

It starts Thursday night at 6pm in the Math and Science Center Foyer.

The event will be led by school staff and will focus on prevention, awareness, and different signs parents should look for.

School Principal, Brad Bailey, says it's a tough issue, but one that needs to be addressed.

"We're here to work with our parents and with our students because we want this to be a successful environment for them, that they want to get their education and we want them to enjoy High School," said Bailey.

The event is held at Texas High but is open to the public.

It should last about an hour.

Another workshop is tentatively scheduled for this spring.
