Trailer thief caught on tape

Trailer thief caught on tape

A trailer is stolen from Brewer Quality Homes Saturday

Update: Bossier City detectives found the trailer in Green Park on Lake Bistineau on Oct. 31. It has been returned to Brewer Quality Homes. The thief is still on the run.

A local businessman wants your help catching a thief. The bandit drove onto the Brewer
Quality Homes lot in Bossier City Saturday around 5:45 a.m. and stole a camper
in a matter of minutes.

What the thief didn't know is that it was all caught on tape.

“I hate a thief more than anything in this world,” said Donnie Brewer, Vice President of the Company.  “I’d just love to see him get caught."

Brewer Quality Homes Vice President Donnie Brewer said this is the sixth camper stolen
from his property in the past year. It’s the first time he’s caught the crook on camera. The surveillance video captures the thief leaving the lot on E. Texas Street around 5:56 am.

"This is someone that is very familiar with travel trailers and he was able to hook
it up in four minutes in the dark of the night, and leave pretty quickly.  He knew exactly what he was doing, and he was by himself.”

The stolen travel trailer is a Play-Mor model, with stock number 1215424.   It’s white with stripes and it has three windows on one side. According to Brewer, it’s worth about $8,000 and one of the finest ones he had on the lot. He’s offering a reward.

“I’ll give you a $1,000 if we are able to arrest the person that’s responsible and/or pick
up the travel trailer,” said Brewer.

Brewer believes the thief's getaway pickup truck is a dark colored, four-door, F250, Fx4 model, with cab lights on the front. The company reported the incident to Bossier City Police.
