Two men arrested in Caddo Parish shooting

Two Shreveport men are facing charges in connection with a shooting last month.
Two Shreveport men are facing charges in connection with a shooting last month.

The shooting happened on Nov. 26 at a house in the 5400 block of Asbury Lane.

Investigators say Ricky Blomgren, who was selling drugs from his home, was robbed of nearly two pounds of marijuana and shot several times.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for Blomgren’s home and discovered 56 grams of marijuana and a firearm. 

Blomgren was arrested for manufacturing and distribution of schedule I and illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance.

Vincent Efferson, who is accused of shooting Blomgren, has been charged with attempted first degree murder.

Efferson was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center and his bond has been set at $300,000.

Authorities say there were two additional men involved in the shooting that have not yet been identified.
