The search continues for Ann “Annie” Bond. She's been missing since Thursday.
Authorities believe her estranged husband Robert “Robbie” Bond murdered her; now their focus is finding her body.
She was reported Nov. 14 when she didn’t show up for work at Encore Event Rentals. Her boss Harold Sater knew something was wrong.
“If Annie was going to be a second late, she'd text you or call you and say hey ‘Im running behind or traffic is heavy,” said Sater.
Sater told his office manager to go by her house in the 1000 block of Wemple Road in Bossier Parish.
“When she went over to Annie’s house, her car keys, she found them laying on the front porch, the keypad to open the garage from outside was ripped off the door frame, and her car was in the garage.”
Sater said his employees were aware Annie had recently separated from her husband of 25 years.
“We knew they were having some marital problems,” said Sater. “Annie was living at the house and Robbie had gone to live with one of his friends. We just thought it was a difference of feelings. we did not know it would go this far.”
When Bossier Parish deputies arrived at Annie's house Nov. 14 around 11 a.m., their welfare check quickly turned into a murder investigation.
"Physical evidence, witness statements, family statements lead us to believe that something there was more than not reporting for work,” said Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington.
Annie was last seen Nov. 13 around 11 p.m. when she had a get together at her house. Deputies said her estranged husband was there.
Around midnight Nov. 15, police found Robert in Gautier, Mississippi, near a rest stop. When Gautier officers approached him, they said he pulled out a gun and shot himself in the head. He survived but Annie was nowhere to be found. Now they need your help finding her.
"We're going to keep looking until we do, again please if any of them have seen this vehicle we want to know about it,” said Sheriff Whittington.
They believe she was with him when he drove to Mississippi in a 2005 Chevrolet 2500 HD. If you have any information on Annie's whereabouts, you're asked to call the Bossier Parish Sheriff's office at 318-965-2203.
Robert Bond has been at Singing River Hospital in Mississippi recovering from a gunshot wound. Lt. Bill Davis said his deputies still haven't been able to talk to him. Bond is wanted for second degree murder. His bond has been set at $1,000,000.
