Thursday Evening Update: Expect the scattered showers to be on the increase during the night tonight. A decent threat of rain will continue through Friday and will likely be highest during the morning. The rain will likely retreat to the west Friday night as the next disturbance approaches from the west. This disturbance will bring thunderstorms to our area Saturday evening and Saturday night. While the largest threat for severe weather is to the SW of the Arklatex, we will still see a slight chance that a few storms could be severe. Wind will be the biggest concern in our area, but can't rule out the isolated tornado especially over the southern edge of the area. Sunday looks to be the warmest day of the week ahead with highs in the low to middle 70s. Cooler air will then return with mainly dry conditions through Wednesday. Another strong cold front will move into our area Thanksgiving night. Expect a chance for some rain along the front late Thanksgiving day. We will then cool down dramatically for the Thanksgiving weekend. --Todd Warren
