Darran Todd joined the KTAL News team in October of 2020. Before coming to Shreveport, he worked at WALB News 10 in Albany, Georgia.

During his time in Albany, Darran has had the opportunity to cover everything from community service projects to murder trials, breaking news, severe weather, and how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the city and region.

Not long after his arrival at WALB, Darran took on crime and courts coverage for the station. Darran’s passion for news comes in part from having a family in law enforcement, as well as a passion for getting answers for the community.

Darran is originally from Jackson, Mississippi but moved to Atlanta in the Fall of 2016 to pursue an education at Clark Atlanta University. Shortly after receiving his Bachelor’s Degree, he interned at a WGCL CBS 46 in Atlanta.

Darran is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists. He is excited to be part of the KTAL News Team and bring stories that matter onto the TV screen for viewers.
