EmmaKate Few joined the KTAL Sports Team in July of 2020. Growing up in Augusta, Georgia, EmmaKate was an avid sports fan and enjoyed learning the game by watching her two older brothers compete.
A recent graduate of Southern Methodist University with degrees in Journalism and Sport Management, EmmaKate is excited to explore the ArkLaTex sports scene. EmmaKate became one of the key faces of Mustangs football and basketball as she worked as the In-Venue host for SMU Athletics during her sophomore through senior year and hosted the PonyUp Pregame Show with SMU radio personalities Scott Garner and Steve Lansdale. These in-depth pregame shows were streamed live across all Southern Methodist University digital and social media platforms. While at SMU, EmmaKate was also a member of the Women’s Cross Country team, the ESPN Campus Correspondent, and the Campus Connect reporter for the American Athletic Conference’s Digital Network.
Before the XFL ceased operations due to COVID-19, EmmaKate was the Dallas Renegades Digital Host, Reporter and GameDay Host. Her pre-game and post-game reports were on the Renegades website and social media pages. EmmaKate also hosted three hours of pre-game entertainment for fans before every Renegades home game on “Renegade Road.”
No stranger to the camera, EmmaKate grew up as a professional runway model and has walked in New York Fashion Week for three years. She also placed as 2nd runner-up in the Miss Texas Scholarship Competition in 2018 and 1st runner-up to Miss High School America as Miss Georgia High School 2015. When she is not working, you can find EmmaKate running, cheering on the Mustangs, and exploring her other passions of science and math as a distance student in Mississippi State’s Broadcast and Operational Meteorology degree program.
