Emmy award-winning journalist Jacque Jovic joined the NBC 6 News Team in October 2012. She co-anchors the 5:00, 6:00, and 10:00 p.m. weekday newscasts with husband Dan Jovic.
After graduating from The Ohio State University, Jacque began her career in Columbus, Ohio as a producer. She then worked as a reporter and anchor in Evansville, Indiana; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Cleveland, Ohio. During her time in Shreveport, she has reported from the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, moderated Louisiana Gubernatorial debates, U.S. Senate debates and a Shreveport Mayoral debate.
Serving the community is a big priority for Jacque. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors for Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault (LaFASA), Project Celebration, Mudbug Madness and is Board Secretary for HOPE Connections. She is also a sustaining member of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier. She regularly emcees or volunteers for Gingerbread House, Veterans Celebration Committee, Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana and YWCA of Northwest Louisiana.
Jacque loves the warm weather and warm people of the ArkLaTex. In her free time, she enjoys discovering great restaurants and boutiques, gardening and entertaining.
While Jacque is passionate about news, her most cherished roles are that of wife and mother. She and Dan are the proud parents of daughter Danielle and son DJ.
