Emmy award-winning journalist Jacque Jovic joined the NBC 6 News Team in October 2012. She co-anchors the 5:00, 6:00, and 10:00 p.m. weekday newscasts with husband Dan Jovic.
After graduating from The Ohio State University, Jacque began her career in Columbus, Ohio as a producer. She then worked as a reporter and anchor in Evansville, Indiana; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Cleveland, Ohio. During her time in Shreveport she reported from the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, moderated three Louisiana Gubernatorial Debates and a Shreveport Mayoral Debate.
Serving the community is a big priority for Jacque. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors for Downtown Shreveport Unlimited and Project Celebration. She is also a sustaining member of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier. She regularly emcees or volunteers for Barksdale Officers’ Spouses Club, YWCA of Northwest Louisiana, Gingerbread House, Veterans Celebration Committee and Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.
Jacque loves the warm weather and warm people of the ArkLaTex. In her free time she enjoys discovering great restaurants and boutiques, reading motivational books, cooking and entertaining.
While Jacque is passionate about news, her most cherished roles are that of wife and mother. She and Dan are the proud parents of daughter Danielle and son DJ.
