SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A new public art display is taking shape on the Marshall Street underpass and I had a chance to spend some time with the artists who are bringing it to life.

Ka’Davian Baylor, Ben Moss, Eric Frances, and Willie Love invited me to see up close what they do each day.

First, they must wear a safety harness to go up in lifts that can take them to the top of the I-20 support columns. So I geared up, then they let me spray paint a section of one of the columns.

This opened my eyes to how much work these guys put in to bring this to life.

Look for the companion story that will air on KTAL NBC 6 on Monday, June 6, where we will find out how the project is funded and how the men feel about their work.
