The Bulldogs wrap up week two of fall camp, last season the defense gave up about 33.6 points per game and allowed the second-most first downs in the country. Nevertheless, defensive coordinator Blake Baker is pleased with the initial progressions of his guys from week one to week two.
“They’re doing a lot of good things they’re flying around they’re taking a lot of pride in the red zone. We’ve installed third down in the last couple of days so I really like our third down package and where its at. Things are progressing, there are still too many guys who are not exactly sure of what to do every snap. We have to get better at communicating; I think we have to get better at tackling, we’re not tackling right now we’re getting in a better position when we tag off from when we thud. Overall i’m pleased with the improvement from week one to week two, said Baker.”
