SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Police are investigating a shooting that left two people wounded in Shreveport’s Highland neighborhood Monday afternoon.
Officers were called to the 300 block of Wilkinson Street just after 4 p.m. for a report of a shooting. They arrived to find a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Oschner LSU Health for treatment of wounds that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police say a second victim, identified as 22-year-old Alan Gonzalez, showed up a short time later at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
Police say they found a weapon at the scene of the shooting and later located a “suspect vehicle” near the hospital. That vehicle is described as a red SUV, and it was reportedly found at the Subway on Kings Hwy.
There have been no arrests.
According to a statement released late Monday night by SPD, “While authorities have not determined the extent of the involvement of the shooting victims, information has been provided on a possible suspect.”
