An Indiana company that makes aftermarket parts for all-terrain vehicles says Louisiana is getting its first out-of-state factory.

SuperATV owner and president Harold Hunt and Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards say the company will invest $4.35 million in Shreveport.

A news release Thursday said the plant will create 75 new jobs averaging $40,000 a year.

Louisiana’s incentive package includes a free recruitment and job-training program, a program that exempts new industrial plants from all property taxes for up to five years and most for up to three more, and a rebate of up to 6 percent of annual payroll for up to 10 years.

SuperATV has nearly 500,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space in Madison, Indiana. Its brands include Assassinator Tires, Gear Driven Performance and Rhino Axles.
