Man killed in W. Shreveport drive-by shooting identified

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)  – The man killed late Saturday night in a drive-by shooting in west Shreveport has been identified. 

According to the Caddo Coroner’s Office, 27-year-old Montrevious Smith of Shreveport died just after 9 p.m., a half hour after he was shot while sitting in a car in the 3500 block of 3525 Kingswood Dr.

Smith was shot in the chest while sitting in his car, according to police. 

He was taken to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital where he died. 

The coroner’s office says he was identified through fingerprint comparison. An autopsy is scheduled to take place Sunday. 

Two other men were shot in the legs while standing in the front yard. 

Police do not have a description of the vehicle used in the shooting and the investigation continues.
