A Shreveport man has been convicted of raping a woman multiple times while she held her infant.

On Friday, a Caddo Parish jury found 20-year-old Travionne Dewayne Bradley guilty of raping his victim, then aged 18, five times December 8, 2015. That was after he had pushed his way into the victim’s home on Earl Street in the Caddo Heights neighborhood and armed with a handgun, had duct-taped her wrists and mouth.

The trial began Monday, February 25, 2019, and the jury heard testimony from the victim, investigators, and a DNA analyst, and reviewed physical and DNA evidence.

Deliberations Friday, March 1, 2019, lasted two hours, with the jury returning a verdict of guilty-as-charged on one count of first-degree rape and guilty of four counts of second-degree rape.

Bradley will be sentenced on April 2 and faces life in prison.
