New Orleans QB Drew Brees is used to making plenty of plays down the stretch of games with his arm. After all, he did set the NFL All-Time Completions record on Sunday, surpassing Brett Favre.
But, in many cases during these Saints-Falcons rivalry games, it takes a little bit extra to pull out a hard-fought win…especially on the road.
Brees was up to the challenge. With just over a minute left in regulation and his team trailing by a touchdown, the Saints signal caller pulled one his most athletic-looking moves of his NFL career. Brees, with the game on the line and two Atlanta linebackers aiming to lay a big hit on the scampering quarterback, pulled off a spin move that left two tacklers off balance and Brees in the end zone.
The play not only tied the ball game at that point, but the jaw-dropping play served as a momentum shifter.
As for what Brees had to say after the game??
