A student is facing charges after he allegedly made threatening comments about a possible shooting at a local high school.

On Thursday Bossier deputies arrested the 16-year-old at Parkway High School.

The student was taken to the Ware Detention Center and charged with terrorizing.

The school administration and school resource officer at Parkway were informed by other students of the threats, and the SRO quickly initiated an investigation.

Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington said, “We simply cannot stress enough just how serious we take any threat to other students, faculty, or to the school. The safety and security of our young people is paramount at the Bossier Sheriff’s Office, and our policy is rather simple when it comes to making threats to harm other people – ZERO TOLERANCE!  Don’t do it, or you will be investigated, and you will be arrested.”
