Almond Breeze almond milk being recalled

Vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk is being recalled in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas because they may contain milk, an allergen not listed on the label.

The product is safe to consume unless you have a milk allergy or sensitivity, the Massachusetts-based company noted in a statement.

So far, one person has reported suffering an allergic reaction but did not require hospitalization, the FDA said.

Approximately 145,254 half-gallon cartons of the affected almond milk were shipped to retailers and wholesalers in 28 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
