The Caddo Parish Coroner’s office is says a mans body found in the truck of a burned car has signs of blunt force injury and sharp force wounds. It has be declared officially as a homicide. The identity of the victim has not been released.
Shreveport Police are investigating the discovery of an unidentified male found in the trunk of a burned-up vehicle Wednesday evening in east Shreveport.
It was just after 8:20 p.m. on January 31, when the Shreveport Fire Department responded to a call about a vehicle fire in an alleyway near the 6100 block of Southern Avenue. After extinguishing the blaze, firefighters found the man’s body, burned, in the trunk of a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis.
Medics declared the man dead at the scene. The Caddo Parish Medical Examiner took custody of the remains and are now working to identify the victim and determine the cause and manner of his death.
