The boil advisory issued Tuesday afternoon for north Shreveport water customers has been lifted.

A contractor hit a water line on North Market, leaving business and residences dry.

The boil advisory was issued for customers North of Ravendale Road and Martin Luther King Drive; East of Interstate 49; and West and South of Old Mooringsport Road while city water crews worked to isolate the problem and make repairs.

It was lifted Wednesday afternoon following water sampling by the Louisiana Department of Health.
