The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club is expanding into a new building and Wednesday is moving day.
Workers transported everything from the Milam Street location to the former CK Bender Elementary School in Liberty Eylau.
The new facility will allow the program to expand from about twenty-five kids to about two hundred. The program is open to students from first through twelfth grades. Major David Feeser said, “Normally we have elementary age and middle school age kids, those that are not really safe to stay at home by themselves yet, so they’re not latch key kids.”
The club opens August 20’th. If you’d more information, call the Salvation Army of Texarkana at (870) 774-2701.
